If you’re reading a conversation that had unread messages when you opened it and you mark it unread, Gmail will only mark those messages that were unread when you opened the conversation in the first place. This solves that problem. However, your problem is different, and you are correct that after you’ve opened a conversation and read some of the messages in a conversation, you can’t mark individual messages as unread. Gmail assumes when you open a conversation you’re actually reading all of the messages within that conversation.

  37. I’ve heard of Rosetta Stone before but I was never curious enough to know more about it. It’s just now that I read about it in your blog. I find that a great way to learn a language. As for me, I speak 3 languages, English and 2 other native languages. I grew up in a country where there are multiple languages, I think we have 13 to 15 languages, one or more of these is spoken by more than 90% of the population. Just thought I’d share it. Hahaha so yeah wish you luck and have fun learning Japanese, I know some Japanese words, but only very few because I find it so difficult. >.>
