This is an argument I’ve heard and taken part in a few times. I think it’s a natural reaction to the overwhelming prevalence of the ‘war was a tragedy for Poland’ stance. It’s always interesting to question these monolithic ‘truths’ and, in this case, wonder if Poland didn’t actually benefit in some ways. Determining the truth of such a proposition is, however, probably impossible – there are just too many variables and the very obvious negatives are just too extreme to forget about.

I’m not sure if that’s something Microsoft would be willing to dish out licensing fees for, especially given that Sony owns the format and would likely use it as a pretty serious bargaining chip. Microsoft can circumvent this issue quite easily by going completely digital with their HD content. People that are buying PS3s for its Blu-Ray functionality have already done so, and most people won’t feel the need to part ways with it even if the next Xbox did offer Blu-ray. It’s kind of a moot point at this stage.

power. our atoms get recycled yes, but that’s only one form of energy. The phenomenon of the pineal glad releasing chemicals at death, at least to me, demonstrates that something is leaving, something outside of the energy that drives your cells. No one would say a single cell, or even bacteria is actually conscious, nor atoms for that matter, yet we may agree that we humans demonstrate some kind of consciousness….and when I say soul I guess I am referring to the energies that drive conciousness, not the ATP that drives our cells.
